Enrolling in a college course in Project Running Start:
Course offerings vary by high school and career & technical education center.
The list of courses offered from NHCTC Stratham & Portsmouth changes as new courses are added and others eliminated.

Check with your guidance counselor for the courses currently being offered at your school. When you are enrolled in a course in the Running Start Program, a college representative will visit your class to explain the registration process.

Dropping and Withdrawing from a Course:
If a student wishes to withdraw from the course, the Project Running Start Coordinator must be notified of the last date of attendance. The student must complete the withdrawal form and have it signed by the instructor.

If a student fails to officially withdraw from the NHCTC course, the student will receive an AF (Administrative Failure). The Registrar will give all students who fail to officially withdraw an AF even if the instructor leaves the grade blank or gives the student a withdrawal grade.

Withdrawing is not the responsibility of NHCTC or the high school instructor.
Students must go through the proper steps and meet the deadlines to withdraw from a class or they will severely damage their College GPA.

Incompletes: An Incomplete Grade (I) indicates that a student has not completed a major course assignment (usually a final assessment) due to extraordinary circumstances, such as serious illness, death in family, etc. The grade is applied only in those circumstances where the student has a reasonable chance of passing. It is not used to give an extension of time for a student delinquent in meeting course responsibilities. Work must be completed for a final grade by the end of the third week after the course concludes.

GRADES: THE COLLEGE DOES NOT MAIL GRADES TO STUDENTS
